Doesn't every mom make up songs for her baby? This is what I tell myself as the years roll by and corny little love songs keep comin'. I'm so convinced by now, that as long as a baby is in my house, I will be creating some quirky little jingle for the little cutie.
For Maren it was "Cute Patoot", London, "Hey, Mr. London" was more of a rap...then came Markie. Now Markie isn't some little 'accident, 10 years later' in fact he's not much younger than the other two! Why have I written more songs for this little guy by far..? ...And the songs and poems continue. I don't know why Markie gets more.. I love all these guys the same! I hope the other two understand-- I just need another baby! We want to have more kids, but in the meantime maybe I need a whole litter of kittens to write songs about? No, that wouldn't help.
There's just something about a baby that makes you wanna sing. Markie loves every song, he claps his hands and dances to them all. To him, they're the best songs in the whole world. No wonder the songs keep flowing!!! "Moose in the corner of the house". "Mark-G-Townsend-Number-2", "I have a little Sweet Boy". "Sweet Little Bunny Full of Wonder", and "How'd You Get To Be So Cute" are all his preferred playlist. No matter how goofy my jingles, I hope I never lack the cute inspirations to keep singin'.
You should make a CD and put it in their baby books! It'd be a cute way to memorialize these precious moments.
